Linda

Linda Harris is the creative force behind Harris House kitchens. Her designs are created with much passion and heart, but to give you a little background on how Linda started out; we head back 12 years ago or so, when Linda  decided to renovate her period style home.

"I guess I was disappointed I couldn't find the furniture I wanted to match my home, after looking everywhere I finally decided to sketch them myself" says Linda.
This is not the every day house wife, the obvious creative streak had been sitting there waiting for a purpose for sometime. Linda then headed to her local cabinet maker who began to  manufacture her design. She was so very pleased with the outcome and hence her journey as a designer begun.

Linda  joined with her local cabinet maker and they started working with solid timber. It started with pieces of furniture. Later with the imports that started taking the major portion of the market, Linda decided that she needed to make a change. She took a step up into designing kitchen with the use of hardwood and blended them together to create her own style and thus Harris House was born in 2000.

Harris House was originally a furniture design company specializing in hand-crafted pieces, the essence was of course Linda's original goal; to make a  classically designed and a highly luxurious, yet practical product.

Harris House today is know a total design company. With Living, Study, Laundry, Pantry and Dressing rooms covered as well as commercial fit outs.  It is with such pride that Linda's  team of qualified architects, designers, master craftsman, cabinet makers and painters set to their task, custom designing and custom building, which is a term you here often in the industry, but knowing Linda's passion for her art, this hands on approach is what keeps her customers satisfied, hand crafting and hand painting their units which makes Harris House stand out from the rest.
